Accommodation & Facilities

Find out more about The Greek Summer School accommodation, facilities and food and drink.

Accommodation

Accommodation is provided in separate boarding-houses for male and female students. Students are not allowed to visit houses of the opposite sex. Most of the accommodation is in shared rooms for between two and six people, but there are also some single rooms.

Responsible adults are resident in the houses and available for help in an emergency.

Facilities

A quiet room is available for private study.

Students will be able to use the school’s tennis courts, squash courts and indoor sports hall.

We are very fortunate to have the use of Bryanston’s Coade Hall Theatre for lectures and dramatic performances, in addition to the open air Greek Theatre (weather permitting.) There is also a fantastic Concert Hall for our end-of-course concert, as well as plenty of music practice rooms available for students’ use. There are usually enough instrumentalists to make up a course orchestra, so students should bring their instruments if they wish to take part.

Food & Drink

Bryanston’s catering team provide a wide range of excellent food. Any dietary requirements need to be passed on to the Course Secretary in advance and students with particular needs are asked to identify themselves to the kitchen staff to ensure that they receive the food that has been prepared for them.

There is also a cafe where students can purchase additional refreshments during the day and a student bar open after lectures in the evening. Those wishing to purchase alcoholic drinks need to bring photo ID to prove they are 18 years or over. The bar does not sell spirits.
